Running Track/Tartan
Spray System
The Spray System is a waterproof tartan system, certified by the International Association of Athletics Federation (IAAF).
It includes the treatment of the sub base (asphalt or concrete) with special adhesive primer to ensure complete leveling of the sub base with the remaining layers of the elastic surface. Next step is the mixing of recycled rubber (SBR) 1 - 4 mm with special polyurethane adhesive and installation of the mixture across the surface with a special finisher. Recycled colored rubber EPDM is then mixed (red or green) 0.5-1.5 mm granulometry with special polyurethane color (red or green) and installation of the mixture with a special spraying machine.
The Surface marking is made with a special polyurethane color according to the IAAF specifications.
Sandwich System (Non-permeable system)
The Sandwich System is a non-permeable running track system, certified by the International Association of Athletics Federation (IAAF).
It includes the treatment of the sub base (asphalt or concrete) with special adhesive primer to ensure complete leveling of the sub base with the other layers of the elastic surface.
Then, Recycled Rubber (SBR) 1 - 4 mm is mixed with special polyurethane adhesive and installed on the surface, with a special finisher. The intermediate layer consists of a blend of special glue and EPDM rubber, very low granulometry (powder),which ensures the smoothing of the first layer and the correct application of the second (final layer). The final layer consists of a mixture of special glue and EPDM rubber, 1-4mm granulometry.
The line marking of the surface is made with a special polyurethane color according to the IAAF specifications.
Full Pur System (Full polyurethane system)
The Full Pur System is a non-permeable tartan system, certified by the International Association of Athletics Federation (IAAF).
It includes the treatment of the sub base (asphalt or concrete) with special adhesive primer to ensure complete leveling of the sub base with the other layers of the elastic surface.
It follows the spread of recycled rubber (SBR) 1 - 4 mm on pure colored polyurethane in successive layers, always manually. The final layer consists of colored EPDM rubber, 1-4mm particle size, on pure colored polyurethane. The line marking of the surface is made with a special polyurethane color according to the IAAF specifications.
This particular system was recently used in the company's major project for the construction of the running track (tartan) at the Kaftanzoglio Stadium in Thessaloniki.
Prefabricated running track/ tartan
Prefabricated tartan flooring is made in rolls of various sizes (in thickness and length) and is installed directly on the sub base with special adhesive spread over the entire surface.
The roll is made mainly of natural rubber, in two layers. The upper layer is harder than the bottom layer and the elasticity of each layer is different. The surface has excellent anti-slip, elasticity and shock-absorbing properties, which make athletes less prone to pain and injuries.
Both the upper and lower layers are vulcanized at high temperature on both sides. This ensures that the top and bottom layers are extremely bonded together and there is no split between the two.
The line marking of the surface of the surface is made in the same way as for other tartan floors, with special polyurethane paint according to IAAF specifications.
