Tahoma 31
Tahoma 31 is a sterile Bermuda hybrid (Cynodon dactylon x Cynodon transvaalensis), of excellent quality, with great adaptability and especially known for its resistance to cold and drought.
PROPOSED USE
Hotels, houses, parks, playgrounds, golf courses, soccer fields, business premises and where serious water savings are required without compromising on quality. Ideal for islands.
COLD RESISTANCE
Tahoma 31 is a Bermuda grass with the lowest rate of lethargy compared to all other Bermuda grass varieties and in fact with a very big difference!
GREENING EARLY IN SPRING
Tahoma 31 greens much earlier in the spring than other warm season varieties of Bermuda.
RESISTANCE TO SALINITY
Tahoma 31 can be irrigated with poor quality water, high in salinity, without any problem in its growth!
DROUGHT RESISTANCE
It has a deep root system, requires less water for its healthy growth and has the lowest evaporation rate compared to other Bermuda hybrids.
SHADOW RESISTANCE
The Tahoma 31 shows very good resistance to partially shaded parts, almost twice as much as the Tifway419!
TRAFFIC TOLERANCE
The Tahoma 31 has excellent traffic tolerance compared to all other Bermuda shorts. It recovers very quickly from damage due to sports use.
Mowing height
Low (1-4 cm). Recommended cylindrical type mower. Requires mowing about every 10 days.
Irrigation needs
Very high drought resistance. It needs up to 60% less water. During the warm months we water 35mm / week. It can be irrigated with poor quality water, up to 6,000 μS / cm, with special drainage conditions, as well as with water from biological treatment. Deep irrigations with good quality water must be done at regular intervals.
* The mentioned amounts of watering are indicative and in any case we must take into account the type of soil, the prevailing temperatures as well as factors such as the microclimate.
