Hellasod undertook the installation of the washed sod of Dias variety (Bermuda Tifway 419) at the fully reconstructed Qemal Stafa National Stadium in Tirana, Albania that will be used as the home ground of the Albanian National Team.
 
Hellasod was evaluated by the Albanian Football Federation and the company that reconstructed the stadium as the ideal choice for the supply and installation of the new sod with the washing technology at Qemal Stafa Stadium.
 
The innovation of the washed sod method chosen, is an excellent choice for the new stadium as it takes full advantage of the drainage system infrastructure and offers fast rooting and a better rooting system for a more resistant turf.
 
Note that Hellasod has also supplied the sod for the previous two stadiums used so far by the Albanian National team in El Basan and Shkodër.
 
Finally, it is worth mentioning that the first official football match with the brand new sod took place successfully between the National teams of Albania and France!
