ATENISTAS is an open community of active Athenians that do believe that they can make a change even with one small step at a time. HELLASOD was there to provide the turf needed for the complete face lift of an abandoned paly ground at Kato Patisia residential area.
 
After 6 hours of non-stop work from many ATENISTAS volunteers, neighbours, children of every age group and people passing by, the small play ground was completely restored! Fresh paint on everything, over 100 new plants and trees and thick Hellasod turf all over the place, made the area look completely new.
 
The popular gardening MEGA CHANNEL TV show, "Mega Channel's Gardeners" designed the planting scheme, Praktiker utility mega store provided all the necessary tools and equipment for the project, Municipality of Athens Plant Nurseries provided for the over 100 plants, and Hellasod for the turf to cover the side ways of the play ground.
 
It is a beautiful work, joy for the eyes, but most importantly, the new meeting point of the many children of the area that now have a brand new play ground to play to and the neighbours that now cherish this place like their own back yard!
